– Geçen ay içinde Ford Focus Copue modeli 2011 Detroit fuarında gösterilecek diye “Autoexpress” damgasıyla yayılan haber Ford’un iletişimden sorumlu kişisinin yaptığı açıklama ile tamamiyle düzmece olduğu ortaya çıktı. Mark Schirmer isimli sorumlu bu haberin çok ilgi çekici olduğunu ama haberin doğru olmadığını hatta böyle bir araç planının dahi olmadığını duyurmuş.
Ford Focus Facebook fan sayfasında Mark Schirmer (Ford İletişim Sorumlusu) tarafından gönderilen yazı:
“Wild speculation about a Focus coupe is making the rounds on websites in Europe, led by the attached link to Auto Express. I can tell you right now — and the coupe lovers hate to hear this — but there are no plans for this model. What do you think: Honestly, is there volume in the coupe market anymore, or is five-door hatchback the way to go?”
